I am grateful to say that I have known no other religion than Christian Science and I have had many proofs of God's allness. My mother became interested in this Science before her marriage, and I had the great privilege of attending the Sunday School until I was twenty years of age.

When a little girl, I was thrown from a small buggy drawn by a spirited horse. I fell underneath the horse, and one finger was stepped on and crushed. My mother took me to the house, washed the hand, and declared the truth until the need was met. Some years later, while picnicking with the family, I got into poison ivy. The poison developed into an open sore on one finger, the pain reaching into the armpit. Christian Science was applied with the aid of a practitioner; the fear was destroyed, and soon all was well.

Upon entering my junior year in high school I became ill and was in bed for several months. The trouble was never diagnosed, but much error was uncovered and destroyed during this experience. At this time I began to realize I had to do some thinking for myself and not depend on someone else to work out my problems for me. I therefore read more and learned a little more of this healing truth.
