My first healing through Christian Science...

My first healing through Christian Science treatment was experienced early in the year 1906, after the doctor said that my lungs were in a serious condition and gave me but a short time to live.

I was a delicate child and a frail voting woman, susceptible to colds. While in a weak condition following the birth of our first child, I had a severe cold. To this were added many more colds and a fever, which the doctor could not break up. The condition was named quick consumption. A Christian Science practitioner was called as a last resort, for I could not bear the thought of leaving my baby. At the end of the first week, I was up about my room. In a month I was going to church, not only healed of the lung disease, but also healed of constipation and hemorrhoids. Neuralgia of the stomach, from which I had suffered for many years, was also instantaneously healed, and there has been no return of any of the ailments.

At first I had had milk for my baby, but the fever had dried it up. This returned in abundance after my Christian Science healing. This son is now a grown man and has never had a serious illness. Another son, born two years later, was pronounced one hundred per cent perfect when he applied for a position which required a blood test. I mention this to prove that there never has been any return or aftereffects of that dread disease, either for me or for my children.
