FORGIVENESS
Father
, forgive them
The mocking words, the scorn
Which fell upon the faithful son
Who gave his all
That those who heard might know Thy truth
In resurrection morn.
Father, forgive us
The heart grown hard, life shorn
Of Love—the secret sin; that they
Who seek Thy love
Will see through us the Christlike man
And find themselves newborn.
