I feel that the time has come...

I feel that the time has come when I should testify with profound gratitude to what Christian Science has done for me since it came to my aid when I was in dire need several Years ago. My home was lost, and later I experienced great anxiety for one dear to me. Then in a short time a deep personal grief was added to all this, I was alone with my two little girls.

After struggling against nervous exhaustion, I completely broke down. Yet all this time I believed that there was a way out, and I prayed to be shown it. At this time Christian Science was brought to my attention by a neighbor and friend, who gave me this assurance from "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" by Mrs. Eddy (pp. 149. 150): "Remember, thou canst be brought into no condition, be it ever so severe, where Love has not been before thee and where its tender lesson is not awaiting thee. Therefore despair not nor murmur, for that which seeketh to save, to heal, and to deliver, will guide thee, if thou seekest this guidance."

Indescribable hope filled my thought, which had been so despairing. Soon the way opened for me to establish my home again. At first I felt overwhelmed by the fear of being alone in a strange neighborhood, for we had lived with my husband's mother in a better section and in a lovely home. However, we were immeasurably blessed and protected through those first months, having many proofs of Love's ever-presence. I also regained my health.
