Job said (Job 23:3): "Oh that I knew where I might find him!" How like Job I felt when I was a young girl living in Europe. Then I came to America to an aunt, a Christian Science practitioner. After I told her of my longing, she spoke to me of God, the Giver of good only. Ever since, I have never doubted that we have a heavenly Father who supplies all our needs. As Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet even human need."

I have been healed of a nose trouble which doctors in the Vienna clinic pronounced incurable. I attended the Christian Science church services and found food for thought in Science and Health and the Christian Science literature, and I bought my first Bible. A kind cousin gave me a copy of Science and Health. The nose trouble faded so completely from my consciousness that I was not aware when the healing took place. In addition, freedom from fear and from the dread of the future is an immeasurable blessing. Many pains and illnesses, including an injured foot, have been healed. Our dear Leader's advice in Science and Health (p. 218), "Treat a belief in sickness as you would sin, with sudden dismissal," has been most helpful.

Lately our son, a paratrooper, came home and told us of his many escapes from danger. I ascribe this protection solely to Science.
