Barstow, California (Society).
Christian Science Society, Barstow, dedicated its church building at the service held on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1947, in the morning.
In 1914 a small group held services in their homes, but these were discontinued in 1915. In 1924 the services were again commenced and were held in the old Congregational church. In 1935 they were held in the Melrose Hotel annex. In 1936 a Christian Science Society was formed.
Construction of the present building was started on June 1, 1937, on two lots purchased in 1927. The first service was held in the new building on Thanksgiving Day, 1937.—Printer-Review.
