Countless times I have proved that Christian Science is a practical religion and that through our understanding of it we can demonstrate every day the presence and power of God, good.

I have seen a loved one brought out of a coma in two weeks, when the doctor's verdict was that he would live only to a certain hour that day. Other ills, such as mumps, which disappeared in one day, pleurisy, and fever, all yielded to treatment in Christian Science. A sore, which had been evident and feared for a year, was healed in a few weeks of Christian Science treatment with no trace of a mark, although doctors had said that only an operation could remedy the condition and that the operation would leave a scar.

These are only a few of the blessings. There have been many more, including the protection I have experienced in the thirty years since first Christian Science was brought to me. I am deeply grateful to God and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I am grateful also for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, for opportunities of serving in the local church, and for class instruction under one of Mrs. Eddy's loyal pupils.—(Mrs.) Marie Johannis, Holyoke, Massachusetts.
