The healing power of Christian Science...

The healing power of Christian Science has been proved to me in so many ways that I wish to express through the periodicals my gratitude to God for its blessing.

Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, tells us in Science and Health (p. 66), "Trails are proofs of God's care." I am glad that I now see difficulties more and more as occasions to trust in God's love.

One of the first proofs we had was the healing of our four-year-old daughter of whooping cough and pneumonia. When I was told by the doctor of her condition, I telephoned a practitioner, who at once gave me loving encouragement, telling me not to be afraid of the name of the disease. The doctor had said that the child's heart was weak, but the practitioner told me that the little girl had all the heart she needed in the great heart of Love. As I rested in God's care and was willing to lay aside fear and trust the child to divine Love, the healing came. She has now reached the age of twenty-one and has had excellent health since childhood. Later the practitioner helped me again when our son was healed of a serious illness, with hardly any convalescence.
