Obedience to Principle
[Of Special Interest to Youth]
Jean had gone to the Christian Science Sunday School for several years and had tried to use what she had learned there in her daily experiences. One day at school the principal requested that the boys and girls observe a certain rule for the lunch hour. Jean and her friends thought that the rule was not necessary and they decided to disregard it.
One of the teachers, who was also a student of Christian Science, having observed Jean's unwillingness to obey the principal's request, spoke to her about it.
"I know," Jean said, "we're not supposed to do that, but the others don't pay attention to the rule, so why should I?"
