Excerpts from Letters Concerning Christian Science Wartime Activities
[From a Christian Scientist in Czechoslovakia]
It is wonderful to get loving messages and to feel your warm thoughts while I am living as a foreigner and a stranger in a country where I cannot understand a word of the Czech language. The promised parcel of Christian Science literature, I am looking forward to and longing for.
Four or five times I was to be shot when in Germany, but although in great danger day and night for three months, I was never afraid, knowing and realizing divine protection not only for myself, but for those around me.
