Church Dedications
Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.
Taylor County Star-News
Medford, Wisconsin (Society).
The Christian Scientists of Medford and vicinity dedicated their church on Sunday, September 2, 1945, with two services, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. The new pulpit recently installed added much dignity. The regular order of service was followed with the addition of a brief history of the growth of Christian Science in this locality.
This church building, located on South Center Street just east of the Medford High School, is modest in architecture. The exterior is of white asbestos shingles with cedar shingles on the roof. The interior of the auditorium has a high ceiling in white, and the walls are a dull peach. The woodwork is done in cream-colored enamel and dark walnut varnish.
