While
her older brothers had been away at war, an eight-year-old child had been for three years alone in the home with her parents.

our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, provided in the Church Manual definite opportunities for the expression of gratitude for healings received in Christian Science, she was undoubtedly far more keenly aware of the import of acknowledging such benefits than is the average student.

unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest".
To
human thought, the symbol of the circle is expressive of beauty and reality.
How
important it is in these days of world adjustment that we see our fellow man aright.
Present-day
conditions offer great opportunities for proving practical the teachings of Christian Science.
We
often find in our passage from sense to Soul that we are guided through one Red Sea of error only to become engulfed in another.
In
reading the stirring account of the Acts of the Apostles as related in the New Testament, one is impressed with the frequency with which the record of their acts is prefaced with the words "with one accord.

The beauty of Christian Science began to dawn upon me when, as a child of twelve, it was my privilege to become acquainted with a woman who told me she had been blind but had been healed in Science.
Now
that the war has drawn to a close, it is with a deep sense of gratitude to God that I look back over the past five years and realize the wonderful protection we had whilst living and working in London.
The encouraging, strengthening influence of a testimony of healing in Christian Science prompts me to relate an experience which I had about two years ago.
I have wanted for some time to write my testimony of healing in Christian Science in the hope that it might be of benefit to someone laboring under a difficulty similar to the one I experienced.
It
is with sincere gratitude that I write this testimony.
In the many years during which I have been a student of Christian Science I have had various proofs resulting from the study and faithful application of this truth.
