It is with a heart full of love and gratitude to God and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I send this testimony.

I took up the study of Christian Science for a loved one, as I knew materia medica could never heal him. This member of the family was not ready for the blessing, and I was beautifully sustained and protected as I passed through troubled waters.

We have had many wonderful healings through the study and application of Christian Science, and I should like to share one of these, which I think is outstanding. We were spending a few weeks at a camp at the mouth of the Mississippi River, where my husband was stationed. His duties took him aboard ships going toward New Orleans. On one of these trips he procured a parrot, and brought him ashore to me. The bird was very friendly and gentle, and proceeded to kiss me. A few days later, however, the bird died.
