The Healing Power of God's Thoughts

The question is often asked, How does Christian Science heal a sick body? The answer is, By displacing, in the individual's consciousness, the wrong thoughts which produce sickness with the right thoughts—God's thoughts—in which health and harmony inhere. "The true consciousness is the true health," Mary Baker Eddy says (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 298).

God's thoughts are the only thoughts which really belong to man. They are spiritually true, intelligent, unselfish, loving thoughts which concretely evidence the positive Mind that is man's substance, Life, and God. Affliction-bringing thoughts, such as fear, worry, selfishness, hate, animosity, and ill-will, are thieves and intruders which represent the lying evil mind and have no legitimate place or power in you or me.

The power that is in every true thought is mighty with Mind's omnipotence. How graphically Jesus proved this! God's thoughts were his only means for destroying all disease, ending sin, and annihilating death.
