Sunday School Observations

It is plain that though the word of Truth might be presented with purity in the Greek language it would not enlighten anyone lacking a knowledge of Greek. So, in the Christian Science Sunday School, Truth must be presented in the language the child understands—his own language. But the language of the child differs at different ages.

Have all Christian Science parents realized that they can have part in the glorious work of the Sunday school without necessarily officiating or teaching in it? Encouragement and co-operation at home cement the teachers' work, and greatly help to foster and sustain the child's interest in the Sunday school activities. Parents can help towards a right attitude of thought when weather or other conditions seem to present obstacles to punctual attendance at Sunday school. But it is primarily spiritual attraction, not human persuasion, that must take children to Sunday school.

Sunday school workers are wise who guard against the mesmerism of numbers, great or few. Receptivity to Truth is more important in a Christian Science Sunday School than the number of pupils present.
