As I round out a century of life...

As I round out a century of life full of blessings, my thought is filled with renewed gratitude to God, to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and to the practitioner who for more than forty years has responded lovingly to our every call in time of need.

It was in 1898 that the healing touch of Christian Science was first experienced by my daughter. Having seen the restoration of this daughter to health and joyous activity, and having myself been in bondage to frailty from babyhood, I too turned to the blessed truth for healing. Through all these years I have been wonderfully sustained and strengthened.

Space would not permit me to enumerate the many splendid healings which have come to me and my family since we took up the earnest study of Christian Science. Although at the age of eighty-seven I fell and fractured my hip, thanks to this same healing truth, I am today walking without a limp. I go up and down stairs alone, and enjoy the normal activities of life. I often read the Lesson-Sermon without the aid of glasses—not because of "second sight" so called, but because of sustained good eyesight throughout the years.
