Progress
Rising
in the scale of being,
Every earnest student grows
Into willingness to conquer
Sin and death—all human foes—
Willingness to prove his sonship
With eternal Life and power,
Finding Life and Truth omniscient,
Guiding, guarding, every hour.
Rising in the scale of being.
We transform our thoughts with love,
Counting not the effort needed,
For our help is from above.
Love now heals the heavy-hearted.
Love that knows no sin, no pain,
Love, the one eternal substance,
Love, to know which is great gain.
Radiant Truth, undimmed by sadness,
Joyous consciousness of good
Lights our path and brings us gladness;
Healing Truth is understood.
We can see our God as Spirit,
We can glorify His Son;
We can know the vast forever,
In which man with God is one.
