I thank God from the depth of my heart for Mrs. Eddy. As gratitude for Christian Science increases, my appreciation of its Discoverer and Founder deepens.

So many blessings have come to us through the study and application of Christian Science that it is difficult to know which to relate first. I had always read the Bible and loved it, had always prayed, and felt that many of my prayers were answered, but I had often wondered why our prayers did not heal as did those of Jesus. Soon after beginning the earnest study of Christian Science I had an instantaneous healing of a severe burn through my own understanding of the truth as taught by Mrs. Eddy, and this was most precious to me because burns had always seemed very real and painful. After this convincing proof, nothing could persuade me that I could not rely wholly on God.

Christian Science came to me about twelve years ago, and I have never let go of it. Jesus once said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." When we rely on divine power, the seemingly impossible becomes natural. So-called material laws cannot oppose God's universal and never-failing law of freedom from disease and deficiency. To the awakened disciple of Christ, Truth, the walk along the spiritual way is not one of burdened, discouraged sense, but is one of hope and glorified fruition. He has become aware of the ever-present Christ, and his thoughts ascend above the darkness of error.
