Sheldon Mail
Sheldon, Iowa (First Church).—The new Christian Science church was filled to its capacity on Sunday, June 14, 1942, both morning and afternoon, at the time of its formal dedication. A history of the local church was read, and this follows in part:
"Regular Christian Science services have been maintained in Sheldon since the year 1890. The first meetings were held in a private home. At the end of a year and a half, a room was rented.
"First Church of Christ, Scientist, Sheldon, Iowa, was organized in a room of the Empire Building on April 26, 1895, and incorporated under the laws of the state of Iowa.
