The Blessing of Christmas
How silently, how silently,
The wondrous gift is given;
So God imparts to human hearts
The blessings of His heaven.
These words of Phillips Brooks have a wealth of meaning to those who have gained some understanding of the real Christmas, and of Christ in divine Science. In the holy quietude of silent communion with God the "blessings of His heaven" are revealed to us. When human planning and outlining fails, and we desire and are willing to work for spiritual regeneration, then we begin to learn the truth of the words (Proverbs 10:22), "The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it."
