I received my first healing in Christian Science twenty-five years ago, in Tucson, Arizona.

At that time I was a widow and had three little girls. I was sick with tuberculosis and chronic nervous indigestion. Physicians gave up all hope for me. In the midst of fear and discouragement. Christian Science was recommended by a kind gentleman, who told my mother that he had been healed of the same disease through Christian Science treatment. My mother dismissed the physician and called a Christian Science practitioner, who came with sweet compassion and explained to me that God is Love; also that God is my Life, for in Him "we live, and move, and have our being." Realizing that what this dear one voiced was the truth, I fell asleep, and the next morning I awoke and partook of food, which was the first I had eaten for some time. Soon I was completely healed.

Later I remarried, and gave birth to five children. When my husband passed away, and we were in great need, I went to a practitioner and asked her for help, which she lovingly gave. Sorrow was healed, and our needs were supplied abundantly.
