Radio Program

A Christian Science period in the "Columbia West Coast Church of the Air" series was conducted from Station KQW, San Francisco, California, on Sunday, December 13, 1942, at 8.05 a.m., Pacific War Time, by Herbert E. Bonham, a former First Reader in a Christian Science church. This program was given under the auspices of the Committee on Publication for Northern California, and had the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. The soloist, M. Jay Goodman, was assisted by Malcolm Battison at the organ. The program opened with Hymn No. 30 in the Christian Science Hymnal. The words of this hymn were written by Mary Baker Eddy.

Mr. Bonham then read selections from the Bible as follows: I John 4:16 (God); Luke 10:25–37; John 13:34, 35; and from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and other writings by the same author: Message to The Mother Church for 1902, 7:24–3; "Miscellaneous Writings," 249:27–2; Science and Health, 113:5–8; 340:12–14; 467:9–13; 340:23–29; "Miscellaneous Writings," 107:11 (only). This was followed by the Lord's Prayer.

The program continued with a solo entitled "Teach Me to Love" by Priscilla M. Dunn.
