Uninterrupted Business

After a night of bombing in London, in which the front of a certain store had been demolished, the owner places outside a sign reading "Business as Usual." This placard was more than a square of paper asking customers to exchange money for merchandise. It was a symbol of the valiant spirit that would carry on in the face of seeming defeat and loss of material possessions.

Against the destructive forces of evil apparently overwhelming the world today, it is well to stop a moment and get our bearings by listening to the "still small voice" of Truth. What is our real business? What are the possessions we must defend? This is the analysis to be made before the first footstep to defense can be taken.

Jesus once said, "I must be about my Father's business." His Father's business was spiritual, but it changed the material aspect of all that came within the orbit of its influence. Where there was sorrow or lack it brought peace and plenty. Where there was sin, sickness, or deformity it reformed lovingly, healed instantaneously, and brought comfort to mind and body. Thus, Jesus demonstrated for all time that the Father's business is proving man to be upright and whole, endowed with the attributes of his divine creator, goodness, health, and harmony. In the business of reflecting God, there can be no deformity of mind or body.
