I cannot longer withhold written tribute of my unbounded gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy for her inestimable gift to mankind of Christian Science, and to God for leading me to it.

When I first read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was deeply impressed by its revelation and spiritual illumination. Membership in an orthodox church and opposition to Christian Science at home and among friends, caused long delay in utilizing its beautiful teaching, although for a great while I had suffered from hemorrhoids, accompanied by almost constant internal hemorrhage. The condition became more acute and made life a daily misery.

I was told by two doctors that I should never get relief without an operation. Eventually I agreed to this, and the day was fixed. But I had no operation. I reflected, Why not test Christian Science? I found the name of a practitioner in The Christian Science Journal and put myself into his hands. Owing to my lack of understanding and continued pain, the physical condition seemed very stubborn; but thanks to the patient, loving, and steadfast help of the practitioner, I was eventually healed, and have been a different man ever since.
