At the time Christian Science was first brought to my attention I was in bondage to a physical condition which caused me much suffering and inconvenience. Without any warning I would be attacked suddenly by such severe pain that I could scarcely stand. By going to bed and using hot applications I obtained temporary relief, but was always sure that another attack would occur. After this condition had gone on for over three years, Christian Science was presented to me, and I have always been most grateful that I accepted it with an open mind. Immediately I began to read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and the testimonies of healing in the Journal and Sentinel. I was soon convinced that it was possible for me to be healed by Christian Science treatment, and decided to go to a practitioner for help.

As I entered the office of the practitioner I had a wonderful sense of the presence of good. There was a brief conversation, followed by a silent treatment, during which I kept thinking of Jesus and the healings he accomplished. I felt that surely I was in the presence of the same power which he had utilized. When I left I was sure that I had been healed, and this proved to be true, for I have never had another attack of that old trouble.

This healing was so easily accomplished that I had no doubt that other physical difficulties could be destroyed. In a short time I was healed of chronic tonsillitis, which had kept me indoors for days at a time during several winters. Other ailments also were destroyed, and while I always expected healing, yet I was often surprised at the quick results.
