At a time when I needed something to help me, a woman came to our home to see my husband on business. While there, she told me of a book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which would help me. I had always been a Bible student, and asked her if Christian Scientists used the Bible. "Oh, yes," she said, adding that the two books were studied together. I asked my mother if she had ever heard of Science and Health. She said there was a book of that name in her bookcase. So I took it home and read it, but could not understand much of it. However, I kept reading it every chance I had. Later I found a practitioner and was healed of an internal misplacement, for which an operation had been suggested.

For years it was a struggle to hold on to the truth, because there was much opposition; but in time the one who opposed it had many healings. Then he realized why I loved it so.

I have had healings of the effects of bad falls, influenza, broken bones, grief, and many other difficulties. By holding on to the all-presence and all-power of God, I had an instantaneous healing of sick headaches. Christian Science has been my only physician for over thirty-five years.
