"Newness of life"

Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 249), "Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into newness of life and recognizing no mortal nor material power as able to destroy." "The divine energy of Spirit" is ever present to impart to us the joyous sense of spiritual strength. We need only open our thought to Spirit to realize the truth of being.

When we experience "the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into newness of life," the false beliefs about limited strength, impairment, sickness, unhappiness, are removed from our consciousness. We should instantly reject any false suggestions by realizing the true nature of being. Being is unchanging, joyous, harmonious, spiritual. Decrepitude, impairment, sickness, unhappiness are no part of reality.

Isaiah writes, "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Wonderful is the healing power of this beautiful Scriptural promise! It lifts one above the belief of fatigue, destroys the fear that age will diminish strength, cause impairment, and take away the right sense of energy.
