Confidence

I Thank Thee, Father-Mother God,
That gently through the darkest night
Of mortal discord, strife, and pain,
Unchanging Mind reveals its light.

I shall not doubt nor fear, dear God,
Though mists of error cloud the way.
In confidence I hold Thy hand;
Thy love doth guide me day by day.

The night is passed, I thank Thee, Lord;
The arms of Truth encompass me.
I lift my thought in gratitude,
For man reflects Thy sovereignty.
