Exhortation

Love thou the stranger, if he bear
A heavy heart to thee;
Attend him with the thoughtful care
Of Christly charity.

Renew his raiment, bathe his feet,
Pour out thy wine and oil,
That thou a brother's need may meet
By such devoted toil.

For thou, an outcast once, dost know
The barren track he trod,
The blessings that so freely flow
From fellowship with God.
