Our Great Newspaper as a Means of Home Education

Our Great Newspaper as a Means of Home Education By Miss Millicent J. Taylor, Education Editor Of The Christian Science Monitor

In her Preface to "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy writes, "The time for thinkers has come" (p. vii). The Christian Science Monitor, founded by our beloved Leader, edited and published by The Christian Science Publishing Society, is a newspaper for thinkers. When read consistently, prayerfully, by one actively thinking, it not only can keep him abreast of the times, but can be a powerful means of self-education to all who seek to do more good in the world.

With the exception of the religious article, the columns of the Monitor, unlike those of the other Christian Science periodicals, are largely devoted to recording human events and opinions.
