I wish to show my appreciation of all the blessings, healings, and benefits which Christian Science has brought and is bringing us.

For thirty years I had been a great sufferer from constipation. My mother had taken me to several doctors and specialists, and I had tried many kinds of medicines, but without relief. After taking up Christian Science, and with the loving help of a practitioner, I was completely healed in a week or two. That was five years ago, and I have had no return of the trouble.

Shortly after this healing, my husband and I were taken very ill with malaria. Because we lived many miles from town and there was no telephone in the house, I sent a note to some Christian Scientists living about nine miles away, who came to our assistance, and they quickly got in touch with a practitioner. There was no white person living near to do anything for us, and the roads were practically impassable, since it was the middle of the wet season. The practitioner lovingly came out and took care of us, looking after the poultry and dairy as well, until we were able to be moved into town, where other kind Christian Science friends took care of us until we were well enough to come back to the farm.
