Humility

Oh, may I hold the thought that is from Thee,
For perfect Mind Thou art,
The Mind of Christ shall then abide in me—
Reflection is my part.

Oh, may I speak as Thou wouldst have me speak,
Express Thy thoughts so pure;
No other word than good alone to seek;
Then error has no lure.

Oh, may I do the work Thou hast for me,
Obedient every day,
A light to mark the upward path to Thee,
In Jesus' humble way.

My strength from Thee enables me to rise
Triumphant at Thy call,
And haughty self is called to sacrifice,
For Thou art All-in-all.
