More than forty-four years ago, Christian Science was presented to me, and I asked for treatment, for I was suffering from an injury caused by a fall. A physician had given me a vivid mental picture of what I might expect to suffer, and said that I might end by being a cripple for life. When I visited a Christian Science practitioner I was in great pain, but this stopped during the treatment, for I was instantaneously healed.

Since that time Christian Science has been my only physician. I experienced harmonious childbirth, through the work of a practitioner, with a Christian Science nurse in attendance. I did not spend one day in bed. When asked if I should not suffer for this later, my answer was that I expected the same power which had healed and protected me then, to continue to protect me. And so it has been proved—I have never experienced any discord whatever from those experiences. My two sons grew to manhood without taking a single drop of medicine. We have been protected many times from epidemics and accidents.

My sincere desire is to live my gratitude for Christian Science and for Mrs. Eddy and her gift to the world.—
