During the winter of 1935-1936, my case was, in the opinion of leading physicians, the most serious they had in a sanatorium that accommodated forty tubercular patients. Every day my condition grew worse, and the doctor who was treating me expected each morning to see the end. The government service for which I worked requested a medical report, and because of the statements in this report I was pensioned for complete invalidism.

At that time, however, I had already made the acquaintance of a Christian Science practitioner. With her patience, devotion, and especially her love, she helped me to follow the rules contained in the textbook, '"Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Soon I was able to affirm that the healing Christ, Truth, is here today and always, and that the understanding of the Christ, Truth, will supply every human need, for I found myself healed.

I then desired to find work again, but I was not accepted by the placement bureau because I had been an invalid, and for this reason I was unable to avail myself of any of the social organizations.
