I am deeply grateful to our dearly beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who revealed to us divine Science, or the Comforter, the coming of which was promised by Jesus. There is no doubt that she was divinely guided to reveal the truth in this age, and to protect it for future ages.

I have had many proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science. When I was but a child, several doctors, after consulting together, said that my grandmother had about a month to live. As a last desperate attempt to save her, my mother and my aunt resorted to Christian Science. Grandmother was healed, and lived many years after that, and as a consequence of this beautiful healing, her grandchildren were sent to a Christian Science Sunday School.

I was then about eleven years of age, and had attended Sunday schools of various Protestant denominations, but I was very receptive, and instantly recognized and accepted Christian Science as the truth. Asthma, from which I had suffered since infancy, disappeared when the knowledge of Truth learned in the Sunday school was applied.
