In a recent issue, "F.H.A." writes on the subject of healings in Christian Science "that there was no proof of such cases."

"F.H.A." will find in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, at the beginning of the chapter on Fruitage, which contains one hundred pages of testimonies of healing, a note "for the assurance and encouragement of the reader," saying that "the originals are in the possession of the Editor, who can authenticate the testimonies which follow."

A note of a similar nature in The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel refers the reader to The Christian Science Publishing Society for further inquiry.

When Naaman, the leper, captain of the host of the king of Syria, received the message, "Go and wash in Jordan seven times," he hesitated to comply with this requirement. Eventually, however, he was persuaded to put aside his objections, and was healed. We read in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."
