In a recent issue, a correspondent discusses your editorial, "Movements of Progress," in the course of which discussion he has made some references to Christian Science which might be misleading to those of your readers who are unacquainted with the facts about this religion.

Christian Science, in order to be rightly classified as Science, must be "exact knowledge," according to a dictionary definition of that term, and, as such, it must be susceptible of proof. In other words, in any scientific system, the correct application of its rules must always be followed by certain definite results; otherwise, it could not be science.

Now, students of Christian Science maintain that this is exactly what happens when the teachings of that religion are correctly applied, and, in substantiation of this statement, they point to the long and constantly increasing record of healings accomplished through its practice, as published in the Christian Science periodicals and presented at the Wednesday evening testimony meetings in churches of this denomination.
