Because I have derived so much benefit from the testimonies given in our periodicals, I wish to share one of the many demonstrations of healing that have come to my family and me through the study of the Bible and of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

When I left the old landmarks for the new country, I was indeed like Rachel, taking my family idols with me—which in my case included heredity. Both my grandfather and my mother had colds most of the time and coughed all the time. Ignorant of man's rightful heritage, I thought I must follow in the pathway of my forebears.

Colds and hard coughing besieged me one winter more than usual and did not yield to Christian Science treatment. One day our eldest son came home from school and, being quite concerned about me, insisted that I call a practitioner. Knowing that his faith in God was well grounded, I called his Sunday school teacher, more to please the boy, however, then for myself.
