It is with a grateful heart that I wish to acknowledge...
It is with a grateful heart that I wish to acknowledge the many healings, blessings, and privileges which the study and application of Christian Science have brought to us all.
The Scriptures indicate that Jesus often healed multitudes in a single day. He never failed to heal every form of sickness, sin, and disease that presented itself. I am truly grateful to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for her loving patience and God-inspired interpretation of the Scriptures, which shows us that they can be applied to every problem "that flesh is heir to." Through this truth it is possible for us to repeat the works of our Master in the measure that we understand and utilize the Principle of divine Science.
We have had innumerable healings. Through the application of Science, colds, burns, so-called contagious diseases, and effects of accident have been overcome. Our smallest daughter was healed of the effects of an injury caused during birth. She is a healthy, active child today, thanks to the loving help extended to us in our time of need by a faithful practitioner. At another time she was completely healed of the effects of an accident. Through this demonstration of the healing power of Truth, a friend of ours became interested in Christian Science, and she is now a student, and her small child a member of the Sunday school.
The training which our children are receiving in the Sunday school is a constant cause for gratitude, and I appreciate the loving work done by the teachers. The children are learning how to meet difficulties for themselves. Our eldest daughter was able to apply the truth in healing a dental condition which presented itself. She was informed by our dentist that she had an embedded tooth, and he expressed doubts about its ever coming through. When she came home and related this to me, we placed reliance on God, who never made any imperfection. We held steadfastly to this fact, and the tooth came in and is now quite normal. At another time a member of our family was suddenly taken ill with appendicitis, and the help of a practitioner was called for. In a very short time this condition was healed, and it has never returned. This healing took place a number of years ago.
I am sincerely grateful for our literature, including The Christian Science Monitor with its clean news. I am daily grateful for the blessed privilege of class instruction, and also for the blessing of working as First Reader in our branch church.
