In his letter, headed "Moral Rearmament" and published in a recent issue, "J. S. M." classes Christian Science with spiritualism. I should like to correct any impression that Christian Science has anything in common with the cult mentioned.

According to a dictionary definition, "science" is, briefly, "exact knowledge," so that Christian Science is the exact knowledge of Christianity.

In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy declares (p. 340): "The divine Principle of the First Commandment bases the Science of being, by which man demonstrates, health, holiness, and life eternal. One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, 'Love thy neighbor as thyself;' annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry,—whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed."

There can be nothing "queer" about a teaching which coincides exactly with that of our Master.
