In Praise of Virtue

Happy are they
Whose lips breathe charity,
And in whose eyes
Lie pools of kindliness;
With faces calm and pure
They tread the realms of Soul.

Man is inviolate
From enmity.
Freedom and peace are theirs
Who seek the truth.

Happy are they
Whose lives are witnesses
To present good,
Whose hearts are sanctuaries
Of love and ceaseless prayer,
For in them beauty lives.
