I feel that the time has come to "declare the works of the Lord" by expressing my gratitude for all the blessings which have come into my life since I took up the study of Christian Science.

About eight years ago I was instantaneously healed of heart disease in one Christian Science absent treatment. I had been dwelling in "the valley of the shadow of death" for many months, but no period of convalescence whatever followed this healing. I have also been healed of smoking, drinking, periodical colds, and unemployment, and have witnessed the healing of other members of my family of tubercular peritonitis, chronic asthma, and children's diseases.

For these and for many other healings, I am inexpressibly grateful to God and to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, who so perfectly understood and demonstrated the healing power of divine Love. I am also grateful beyond measure to our spiritually-minded Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, whose unselfish labors and love for all mankind enabled her to give to the world the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus. I am also grateful to the practitioner, whose clear understanding of the healing Principle of Christian Science lifted me out of sin and disease, and planted my feet firmly in the way.

For membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for the privilege of taking part in some of the activities of our movement, I am truly grateful.

Carlton R. Merrifield, Chicago, Illinois.

I wish to corroboraate the above testimony and to express my gratitude for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, also for the joy and happiness which have come into our home since taking up the study of Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Edna M. Merrifield.
