"I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, ... according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses." These words of Isaiah find a welcoming response in the heart of one who has had great cause for gratitude for many years of proving God's care, loving-kindness, and healing power, and who wishes to share this gratitude with others.

For over thirty years I have relied on God as the Great Physician, although at first I did not seek Christian Science for physical healing. When a young girl I was very unhappy, and was constantly searching for a religion which would satisfy the questionings and longings of my heart. I studied the Bible continually, but could not reconcile what I read with what I was taught in the churches. If God's promises in this book were true, why was so much suffering and sin deemed necessary in our lives? Either God's promises were not intended for us, or there was something wrong in our understanding of them.

I found my answer in Christian Science. Through its teachings I have learned to know God as He really is, the Father who sends us only good, and to know man as His reflection. I know now that "God's promises are kept."
