In a recent issue there is a report of a sermon on the subject of Christian Science. The preacher makes some unwarranted statements about this religion and its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy. I hope, therefore, that you will be kind enough to find me space in your valuable paper for a reply.

Quimby was not the originator of Mrs. Eddy's teaching, nor did he ever claim to be. He passed away before the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," was written, and when the authorship of this volume was challenged, a court of law virtually pronounced judgment that Mary Baker Eddy and none other was the author. This book can be borrowed free of charge for a fortnight from any Christian Science Reading Room. It is available also in most public libraries.

Christian Science is healing sickness and sin to a remarkable degree. Evidence is daily accumulating on this point, and this indubitable evidence is one of the principal factors contributing to the spread of Christian Science throughout the world.
