An interesting orthographical procedure is observed in Christian Science. The terms Life, Truth, Love, Principle, Mind, Soul, and Spirit, which adherents of this religion understand to be synonyms of God, are always capitalized when they apply to Deity. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 465): "God is incorporeal, divine, supreme, infinite Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, Love." On the other hand, the pronouns, "he," "his," and "him," are never capitalized by Christian Scientists when they refer to Jesus. This conforms to Mrs. Eddy's statement (ibid., p. 361), "Jesus Christ is not God, as Jesus himself declared, but is the Son of God."

Love is redeeming and eternal. The world demands tolerance in thought, patience in conduct, good will in understanding. These are the ways of our deliverance.
