I have long felt a desire to share with others my gratitude for Christian Science. It has truly been my shepherd, guiding me and bringing supply, peace, harmony, and health. My footsteps have been slow, and fear has lifted its hydra head to change my course; yet in the proportion that I have let divine Love and Truth lead me, I have progressed.

Christian Science was unknown to me until a former schoolteacher sent me a Christian Science Sentinel, after I had poured out to her in a letter some of the discord and turmoil in my thoughts. I was seeking peace in a world which seemed all wrong. Those Sentinels awakened me to take a new view of life, and the seed is still bearing fruit. The Bible was as a new book, and I soon borrowed a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy from the nearest Reading Room. Later on, when I had saved up enough money to buy a copy of Science and Health, a new Bible and Science and Health were given to me.

Money from an unexpected source came for a subscription to the Journal, Sentinel, Monitor, and Quarterly, and later on, the argument of lack of means with which to renew the subscription was silenced. Never have I found a more fruitful investment. The Monitor alone brings a wealth of helpful ideas, so that I find that I have a great deal to share with others.
