For Christian Science and its countless blessings I wish...
For Christian Science and its countless blessings I wish to express my sincere gratitude.
About eleven years ago I had an experience which proved to me without a doubt the possibility of instantaneous healing. I cannot name the disease, but it took the form of chills, fever, an inability to walk because of dizziness, an aching body, and fear. At eleven o'clock one evening we telephoned to a practitioner a hundred miles away, and she followed the injunction given by Mrs. Eddy in the textbook, Science and Health (p. 381), "Let us banish sickness as an outlaw, and abide by the rule of perpetual harmony,—God's law." I fell asleep, and towards morning I awoke and found myself completely free, with no sign of physical weakness.
When our son was three and a half years old, he became ill. He had lain all day on the davenport, too weak to rise, suffering from fever and unable to retain any food. We called the practitioner, who came to the house. My husband and I went out for two hours, and when we returned, the boy ran to the door to greet us. This was another proof to us of the power of the one divine Mind, God.
