Two recent articles in the Commonwealth have criticized Christian Science and its healing work.

Any writer is entitled to express an opinion concerning any subject, but unless that opinion is based upon a correct investigation of the subject under discussion it may be misleading to your readers.

The healing work of Christian Scientists is not, as one of your contributors asserts, confined to cases of hysteria. Thousands of persons have been healed by Christian Science treatment of organic and functional diseases in advanced stages, and in many cases, as in the case of the writer of this letter, of diseases which are generally regarded as incurable.
