The Man of Nazareth

THERE was a man of Nazareth
Who turned the water into wine,
And overcame the fear of death,
With all the power of Life divine.

He healed the leprous and unclean,
The lame, the crippled, and the blind;
The legacy of faith serene
He wisely left to all mankind.

Today, as in a bygone hour,
The light of Truth is near to bless
The hungry heart with Spirit's power,
Dispelling terror and distress.

The works that I do, ye shall do—
His promise lingers while we pray,
Till understanding brings to view
The glory of God's perfect day.
