I am very thankful for the many blessings and healings...
I am very thankful for the many blessings and healings which I have received in Christian Science, and feel that it is my duty to tell of them.
In June, 1910, I was confined to my bed. One physician, after a careful examination, diagnosed my case as ulcerative tonsillitis. Another said that it was black diphtheria in its worst form. Neither doctor was able to help me, so a third was engaged. I was growing weaker all the time, however, and finally became paralyzed; I could scarcely speak or swallow. The doctor came in one afternoon, examined me. and said that he could do no more for me.
At this point my wife suggested that we turn to Christian Science. I agreed to this, and a practitioner who lived in a neighboring state took up work for me. Within about two weeks the paralysis had partly gone from my tongue, throat, and palate. One morning I felt much better. About a week later I was so greatly improved that the practitioner advised my wife to take me to a city in the state where I was residing, so that I could talk with the practitioner. This was done, and then I began to take up the study of Christian Science in earnest.
